After a long weekend away, the Urban Pixie is glad to be back in business! There’s so much to share that I’m not certain where to start. But as always, I’ll lead from my heart.
Today it is filled with love & waxing way nostalgic. Pixiesis sent an email reminder that my #1 boy, Owen, started school this week. Seems like just yesterday that he looked like this:
& soon, he’ll be speaking Japanese. Literally.
To catch the Seattle sun, I planned a September trip back months ago & today, while over-booking my time there, I realized I leave next week. I love my New York life so that I don’t often feel the itch to flee the scene. But, all of a sudden, I’m sure excited!
Finally, ages ago, the bosses brought up the idea of a Mexi-meeting in 2007. Today I booked the rooms & we’ll be South of the Border in less than a month. La Cucaracha!
The way these events snuck up on me, makes me feel pretty good about mastering my life in the moments. Rather than noting days as significant for what they are missing - adorable nephews, swim-up pool bars, etc. - I now appreciate them for all they do contain. Sometimes this is the thrill of finding new friends, the taste of a marvelous meal but more often than not, it’s the simple sweetness of just being. Here. Now.
Take it from Eckhart Tolle, “Enlightenment means choosing to dwell in the state of presence rather than in time. It means saying yes to what is.” Amen & Sayonara, sweethearts.

You sound like you are in such a great place in your life Pixie…Enjoy it! You deserve it! xox
Aw, you busy girlie you. I’m glad it’s you and not me actually, I’m enjoying the down time in a perverted way - just total quiet and hermitude for me.
Mexico? I’d sorta love to go there - but - not.
Anyway, I hope you’re having a great time no matter where you are… I’ve been trying to lay low - been a rough patch here.
Peace, love and coolness.
